I’ve been to psychic readings and tarot readers all the way in San Francisco, to New Jersey, as well as Chicago, and I have been learning to see my own cards too.

While I’d consider myself an experienced tarot reader, I would not call myself an expert at an art that’s largely interpretive, and perhaps that is because I am pretty logical for someone who’s in this kind of sh*t.

But I’ve had friends, and even readers of my posts, contact me to state they’re literally fearful of a tarot reading they got someplace, so I figured I should probably clear a few things up.

Tarot Readings Are Around As Serious As A 30-Day Weather Report

Daily weather reports are predictions that say, “Based on how things are going today, in a month that they could look like this…”

Each card each piece of information you get in a reading and that you pull is subject to change, and that change is all up to you.

Tarot is not so much where you are being led by your voice, and described as a prediction of the future as much as it’s an indication of where you stand now.

Tarot Readings Are Not Literal

Tarot, such as astrology, is laden with symbolism; it’s not literal.

You will appear insane and feel insane if you choose this way.

The significance and the images on the cards are intended to be symbols that the words on a number of them may seem pretty straightforward.

You will probably be relieved to hear that, if you have ever pulled the “Death” card, it is actually more of a representation of transformation — a symbolic death, and a span of rebirth which follows.

In an interview with Elite Daily, Kate Wolff, an expert tarot reader and practicing Kabbalistic Healer at Society of Souls in New York explains,

People LOVE precise explanations of how our lives are supposed to end up. Try to hold whatever it is you were advised. I try to not tell them what is coming, since they overlook the present instant when I read for people. So whatever it’s you are hoping for, try keep in mind that the world always has gifts for us round the corner if they don’t seem the way and to come back to your body.

Tarot Readings Can Empower Or Disempower You, If You Let Them

The number one message of any tarot reading ought to be that you’ve got the capacity to heal yourself, Since the doctrine of this tarot relies on inner intellect, and also the route to a better life starts with you.

The tarot only offers advice for moving forward, but that advice is really coming from inside yourself, because you (or the reader) is the only interpreting the cards.

This is why it fun to find a reading from someone who you don’t understand, but you shouldn’t ever take it. Trust is built by A tarot reader with their customers and has a relationship together.

Wolff says,

Only take from the information that feels right in your body. If something harmful from the reading or felt off, don’t take it all in. Some readers unconsciously skew the information which they pick up on due to their wounds or misconceptions. It is always vital to follow your own instincts about the healing path.

Think of it this way: If you were to walk into a salon you’d never been to, and you permitted a stranger to reduce your hair, it would be fine if they did a good job, but would you be surprised if you looked just like sh*t walking outside?

No, because you are aware that a good hair stylist is just one you know and trust.
